This is how it all starts... There is a cable car at the other entrance but not on this one. I started with my hike at 11 a.m. after I finaly arrived by bus from Xi'an.

After that the steps become stepeer and steeper, higer and harder often with a very small space to step on as you can see on the following photos.. And the South peak on it's 2160m is still far, far away.

After arriving on spot bellow the North peak (approachable by the cable car) which is at 1614m you still have a couple of billion steps to your destination - the South peak.

These are just some of the beautiful sights of the countryside. This chain is the only protection from falling into the abyss.

These unbelieveable series of steps are called Green Dragon Ridge. I think that there is no need to explain why.
